Revelation Fleet Academy: Division Details
Academy Commandant
Primary Responsibility
The Academy Commandant oversees and assists the positions of Chief Recruiter, Personnel Officer, and Technical Services Officer to make sure the officers are doing what is expected of them in there outlined duties.
Rationale for position
New recruits are key to keeping a fleet “alive” without new blood, the fleet will eventually dwindle away and become boring. Its a must to Make sure that Fleet Academy Officers are performing there tasks to keep the fleet fresh with new recruits and help keep the fleet running smoothly through appropriate training/promotions within the fleet.
Duties and Requirements
The duties of the Academy Commandant include:
• Monitoring the recruitment/training process making changes necessary to make sure its fun and effective.
• Will fill in on any position not yet filled or if officer is not available.
• Helping to explain to new recruits of what our fleet has to offer and what the core rules are by explaining and pointing them to the correct information on the website.
• Deals with anything not outlined in the description of the Fleet Division including complaints, suggestions, or anything that a Officer can not help a member with.
Position requirements:
• This is an officer position.
• The Academy Commandant should be a friendly individual who enjoys socializing with people that are not known.
• Needs good voice communication skills.
• Needs to have expert knowledge of the ranks and all policies of the Fleet.
• Must send the Fleet Commanding Officer regular updates on there division.
Recruitment Officer
Primary Responsibility
The recruitment officer determines the matching of characteristic and/or personality of recruits into the Fleet.
Rationale for position
Invitations into the group is key to the fleets success. Be it either just having fun in events, STFs or Fleet Actions. This is a very daunting and time consuming task. Having someone in charge of this ensures that we fill empty slots in our events and not having to pug in other activities like STF’s and Fleet Actions.
Duties and Requirements
The duties of the Recruitment Officer include:
• Recruiting of new players into the fleet.
• During the recruitment process must make sure that the new player is a good match for the fleet.
• Helping to explain to new recruits of what our fleet has to offer and what the core rules are by explaining and pointing them to the correct information on the website.
• Posting in officer comments on the main character of date recruited.
Position requirements:
• This is an officer or officer in training position.
• The Recruitment Officer should be a friendly individual who enjoys socializing with people that are not known.
• Needs good voice communication skills.
• Needs to have expert knowledge of the ranks and all policies of the Fleet.
• Must send Personnel Officer and Academy Commandant either in-game or email on each player they recruited.
Personnel Officer
Primary Responsibility
The personnel officer facilitates the promotions of all non-officer Fleet Members
Rationale for position
Making sure that Fleet members are promoted to the appropriate ranks, in the required time intervals, is a very important and challenging task. It can be very daunting to keep track of who gets promoted on what day or week. Having someone in charge of this ensures that promotions are done in a fair and timely manner.
Duties and Requirements
The duties of the Personnel Officer include:
• Monitoring each ensigns time in the fleet and making promotions to Lieutenant.
• Monitoring the duration of members and their skills to see if they qualify for the next rank.
• Helping to explain to members what’s needed to achieve next ranking via forums and through in game mail.
• Removing characters from the fleet for inactivity. (times to be announced)
• Providing guidance and training to new players or help direct them to the appropriate officer for assistance.
Position requirements:
• This is an officer or officer in training position.
• This person needs good attention to detail and the ability to check in-game rosters and dates frequently.
• Needs good written communication skills.
• Needs to have expert knowledge of the ranks and policies of the guild.
Technical Services
Primary Responsibility
The Technical Services Officer helps to develop the players maximum potential with their characters.
Rationale for position
Lets face it, most new recruits are still in the learning stages of STO. This position is in place to ensure that new players are brought up to speed on the best “suggested” game play strategies.
Duties and Requirements
The duties of the Tech Officer include:
• A Tech Officer monitors sites like STO/Wiki and evaluates character’s gear, spec’s etc…
• Hold dps clinics to evaluate player performance and suggest ways for improvement.
• Tech Officer needs to be trail blazers and learn as much about the classes and new content as possible from the various roles –tank, healer and dps.
• Tech Officers are a friendly resource for people to go to for questions and advice.
• Collaborate with Fleet Resources Division to obtain equipment for new recruits to help better there game play.
Position requirements:
• This is an officer or officer in training position.
• Must be willing to put in a lot of time and effort both reading about and participating in new content.
• Must have excellent communication skills and to be able to politely suggest ways for player improvement.
• Stay current on changing trends among classes and help teach others about it.
