Haven't been able to play all day and now that it's back up, it's taking forever to patch! Keeps shutting down and I have to restart the load.

With all the emergency maintenance and the game going down daily because of something or other, I'm gonna take about a week off and then try again. I just can't take being logged off and have to get back on only to reenter the queue and now it seems, the servers have to go down because something else went wrong.
See you in a week!

It is frustrating. I was just starting to get the hang of some of it. I got into the queue last night, I was 1488. After 45 minutes I gave up, I was still 1488 but the total queue increases from about 1600 to over 10,000. Didn't seem like they were making any progress and now it's down again. I have never seen this in a game before.

A lot of folks on the STO forum asked me is this is the only MMO I've ever played because of statements like that.
I'm like, "yeah, is that a bad thing?"
So, it's my first and only MMO, forgive me for not knowing that game developers eff things up beyond all recognition.

Maxima, I don't think there is anything wrong with wanting a quality experience and a reliable service not matter how many MMOs you've played. this is at least my 5th or 6th, and I still don't like it when this stuff happens.
Somehow the gaming industry gets away with things that would put businesses in other industries out of business. Will there be problems? Of course there will, but the magnitude of the problems in the gaming industry tend to be off the charts. Anyone else who treated their customers as the gaming industry often does would soon be without customers.
