Some people have put a lot of work into their characters. I don't mean level and gear wise, I mean their backgrounds. So, I figured that some people might like to post some bio info and show off their hard work.
Here's Idan's as an example: Joren Idan
Joren was taught by his Klingon father, K'Vagh, to survive in deep space aboard his freighter, to be honorable in all things and to never trust a Romulan as far as you can throw his petaQ of a detached head. His mother, Emira, often scolded his father for such things. Quite a feat considering she was a good 14 inches shorter than the ageing warrior.
Gila IV changed everything for the happy family. Caught in the crossfire during the Klingon invasion, K'Vagh's freighter was crippled and forced to land heavily on the surface near a small township. Seeing a Klingon emerge from the wreckage the Gorn descended into a killing frenzy, taking all their impotent rage at the fleet above out on K'Vagh. The teenage Joren felt his blood sing as the Gorn attackers were hewn like chaff by he and his father.
By the end of the encounter, K'Vagh and Joren were bloodied and bruised, rescued by a Klingon troop carrier they were taken back to a "friendler zone". While there, K'Vagh was accused of dishonorabe conduct by a Klingon officer for running supplies through Gorn space and aiding the enemy. Incensed by this, Joren's father flew at his attacker and engaged him in an honor duel. His injuries proving too great, K'Vagh was slain. Howling like a Tarkalian beast, Joren took up his father's blade and restored his father's honor by dispatching his accuser but it was too late to make any difference.
Left behind after refusing any more "help" from the Klingons, Joren secured passage out of the system and made his way back home to tell his mother of K'Vagh's fate.
Joren joined Starfleet using the opportunity provided by his genetic heritage. The rage he felt at his father's death was soon tempered by the punishing regimen that the academy administered. He rose fairly quickly through the ranks and recieved his captaincy shortly before open hostilities with the Klingon Empire broke out. It is the same sense of Klingon honor which galvanises him against any internal conflict he feels.
It wouldn't let me write any more
