Howdy 10th Fleet, Zander here. Well its been a full year since I re-opened the fleet and got the ball rolling in it. It has been a very exciting year and we have had our ups and downs. (Mostly up though.) There are a few things that I would like to let everyone know about.
1. The Imperium Alliance
Im sure you have noticed by now that we are no longer a member of the imperium alliance. We have been fortunate, here in the 10th, to have been relatively drama free for the past year and it quickly became evident that the alliance was full of said drama. I would not allow our great fleet to be drug down into something like that, so I have decided to remove the fleet from that situation.
2. Fleet Promotions
As the fleet commanding officer I do have the power and the ability to promote anyone I choose at any time. However, promotions are handled by the 10th Fleet Academy up to the rank of Commander. If anyone should ask me about the status of your promotion I am going to refer to Captain Doc or Rear Admiral Jonathan. As Academy staff they will be handling all promotions up to the Commander rank.
3. 10th Fleet KDF
From this day on we will be a single fleet... fleet. By this I mean 99% of our attention should be spent on our Fed characters progressing the Fed fleet. I will keep our Klingon sister fleet open should anyone choose to put their Klingon characters in 10th Fleet KDF. You will do so on the understanding that no more progression will be happening with our Klingon fleet. If you spend a fair amount of time on your Klingon character I strongly recommend you find a Klingon focused fleet to join.
4. 10th Fleet RRW
We will not be forming a Romulan sister fleet. This decision was based on the idea that we want to be a single unified group of friends. To split folks up among 3 fleets would deter from that vision.
5. Fleet Awards
Fleet awards will be announced monthly and every division leader should be looking for folks who meet the requirements to earn a fleet award. Awards will be handed out during the monthly fleet meeting.
6. Recent Promotions
A big congratz goes out to Willy who has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral and place in command of the Division of PvE. A big congratz goes out to David who has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral and place in command of the Division of PvP.
In conclusion I would like to thank everyone for their time and dedication to the 10th Fleet. We are what we are today because of each and everyone of you.
